Honda has designed themselves to be reliable, safe, and durable vehicles, the 2018 Honda Accord is no different. With procedures installed to enhance the driver alertness, including those combined with Honda’s Sensing Suite, the 2018 Honda Accord is not to be reckoned with.

But what exactly is the Honda Sensing Suite? The Honda Sensing Suite is an installation for the driver, to support the driver with safety critical driving procedures.

2018 Accord Features:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow
    • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow helps you maintain a set following-interval on the highway, so you don’t have to manually change your speed.
  • Collision Mitigation Braking System
    • Helps to brake the vehicle when it senses and otherwise unavoidable collision with a vehicle detected in front of you.
  • Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
    • If your vehicle begins to stray from the center of a detected lane without signaling, the steering wheel adjusts to help bring you back to the lane center.
  • NEW Traffic Sign Recognition
  • Road Departure Mitigation System
    •  A small camera sees road markers, alerts you if you’re about to leave the road, and can take action to help keep you from doing so!

Additional Features

The 2018 Accord has additional features that specifically enhance the driving experience, including:

  • Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure with a crash stroke design
  • Advanced front, front-side, side-curtain, and NEW driver and front passenger knee airbags
  • Front and rear parking sensors and Multi-angle rear-view camera with dynamic guidelines

The greatest feature of all? The car design is made to flex and bend in case of impact, specifically on the vehicles hood. The vehicles hood will deform to help reduce bodily injury if an accident were to occur. Space is allocated between the hood and engine parts, allowing for the deformity to occur. The windshield and hood hinges have even been designed to bend and absorb force.
