Donate to the Mission of Hope with 6th Avenue Honda

The 6th Avenue Honda team in Stillwater, Oklahoma is feeling the winter chill. We know we don’t have it that bad, though, in comparison to the impoverished and homeless in the Stillwater community.

This is why we at 6th Avenue Honda are partnering with the local Stillwater shelter Mission of Hope this holiday season! We hope that our staff and local, loyal dealership customers will join us in donating to the Stillwater community starting Monday, November 19th to Wednesday, December 19th. The dealership doors are wide open for warm coat donations and holiday shoppers!

The Mission of Hope shelter was founded in 1988 by Mary Ruth Anderson in the Church of God building in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Mission of Hope has three different programs at this point; emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing.

The emergency shelter houses ten men and six women, while the transitional housing has ten on-site units and three apartments off-site. Finally, the permanent supportive housing program uses two houses and one apartment with two additional apartments for disabled veterans.

As a partner of the Stillwater Area United Way, the Mission of Hope shelter has a lot of support and we, at 6th Avenue Honda, are very excited to be one of those supporters. Visit 6th Avenue Honda this holiday season to donate to Mission of Hope and relish in the Black Friday deals and Happy Honda Days Sales Event!

Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter and Instagram to see updates on the Mission of Hope donations and our holiday deals. Contact us if you have any questions on what is appropriate to bring as a donation to Mission of Hope.

To be assisted by the Mission of Hope, one must be considered homeless and carry a photo I.D. and social security card. The Mission of Hope shelter cannot assist sex offenders, people with pending warrants, or people with a history of domestic or violent crimes.
