Honda has designed themselves to be reliable, safe, and durable vehicles, the 2018 Honda Accord is no different. With procedures installed to enhance the driver alertness, including those combined with Honda’s Sensing Suite, the 2018 Honda Accord is not to be reckoned with.

But what exactly is the Honda Sensing Suite? The Honda Sensing Suite is an installation for the driver, to support the driver with safety critical driving procedures.

2018 Accord Features:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow helps you maintain a set following-interval on the highway, so you don’t have to manually change your speed.

  • Collision Mitigation Braking System: Helps to brake the vehicle when it senses and otherwise unavoidable collision with a vehicle detected in front of you.

  • Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS): for when your vehicle begins to stray from the center of a detected lane without signaling, the steering wheel adjusts to help bring you back to the lane center.

  • Road Departure Mitigation System: A small camera sees road markers, alerts you if you’re about to leave the road, and can take action to help keep you from doing so!

Additional Features

The 2018 Accord has additional features that specifically enhance the driving experience, including:

    • Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure with a crash stroke
    • Advanced front, front-side, side-curtain, and NEW driver and front passenger knee airbags
    • Front and rear parking sensors a Multi-angle rear-view camera with dynamic guidelines

The greatest feature of all? The car design is made to flex and bend in case of impact, specifically on the vehicles hood. The vehicles hood will deform to help reduce bodily injury if an accident were to occur. Space is allocated between the hood and engine parts, allowing for the deformity to occur. The windshield and hood hinges have even been designed to bend and absorb force.

Who doesn’t want all animals to have happy homes? That was the goal when 6th Avenue Honda partnered with the Stillwater Humane Society to host a pet adoption event at the dealership.

On May 20, 2017, the Stillwater Humane Society brought over adoptable puppies and dogs to 6th Avenue Honda, as well as valuable information about all the good the organization does in the Stillwater community.

Because the organization does everything from adoptions to vaccinations, the Stillwater Humane Society is an irreplaceable nonprofit in our community and one that 6th Avenue Honda looks forward to partnering with again in the future.

To learn more about the Stillwater Humane Society or to see how you can get involved with this Oklahoma nonprofit, visit its website.

Blood donations save lives. That is the simple reason we signed up to host blood drives at 6th Avenue Honda.

For every donation of blood, three lives are saved. Our blood drive on October 25 helped to impact 21 lives. All of our donations are administered and given to the American Red Cross of Oklahoma, which is one of the first resources on the scenes of tragedies in Oklahoma. That means these donations are going to an excellent organization.

We look forward to hosting more blood drives and seeing more member of our community come together for this great cause. To learn more about our events and see when our next blood drive will be, visit our Facebook events page.
